lsh parents Education awareness evening

Hello all!

We've had a month back at school so far this new term and I'm so proud of all the children! They've literally hit the ground running!

I think sometimes we underestimate the ability of children to quickly adapt to situations... and these children have just blown my expectations!

Their enthusiasm and dedication to the workload and long hours of our online summer school is admirable and I know they will be greatly rewarded!

I'd like to invite you all to our online LSH Parental Education Awareness Evening on

Tuesday September 29th at 6pm. The zoom login details are on the flyer and please do share with any parents who need to know more about finding the right schools for their children.

On the night we'll have a few guests and we'll also be discussing some very important issues such as racial equality, school exclusions, bursary applications and why it's necessary to do what it takes for your child.

I've also included some useful links for planning school fees, open days/ virtual tours and things to look out for when choosing a school - based on tips from The Good School's Guide: School Fee Financial Planning https://www.schoolsshow.co.uk/07-start-planning-for-school-fees Cobham Hall Their Virtual Open Morning was most successful in June. You can log in to facebook and use this link to view the event:  https://www.facebook.com/events/623935505131881/?active_tab=discussion (Best viewed by scrolling to the bottom and working your way up). For those not on Facebook, the key videos are available on their website:  https://www.cobhamhall.com/virtual Tuesday 29th September 10am Choosing A London School https://www.schoolsshow.co.uk Open Days: https://www.schoolsearch.co.uk/open-days-at-independent-schools The Good Schools Guide Things to look out for: https://www.goodschoolsguide.co.uk/choosing-a-school/school-open-days

Finally, for those who were not with us during the summer school, and therefore weren't in their sessions, let's give a lovely welcome this term, to Mr Jesse, Miss Sameeha, Miss Temi and of course our lovely Ellie (whom most of you already know).

You'll find out more about our new tutors and their backgrounds and I'm pleased to have people working with us who care about all of the children just as much as I do.

Our Preschool/Reception and 13+ groups start back this October and our 7+, 11+ and GCSE groups have already been working hard since we resumed.

Year 6 in particular seem to be enjoying their morning Power Hour session before their usual 10am-12pm class... and despite being a longer session than what they previously had, they've taken to it with a great attitude... so well done to them!

Looking forward to sharing more info about schools, resources and general things we as parents need to know about, with you all via this blog.

And remember... ICDAT (I Can Do All Things)

Love, Aunty Lola x
